After you have done your Cbt and passed your motorcycle theory test you are then elligeble to take a motorcycle practical test to qualify you to ride a larger machine than a 125cc.
Tests are carried out by a Driving Standards Agency examiner at a test centre of your choice.
If you are over 21 you can go on to do a big bike test on a motorcycle bigger than 46bhp. If you pass the test you can then ride any size of motorcycle you wish.
If you are under 21 then you can only take a test on a motorcycle up to 125cc. However, if you pass this test you can the either get a bigger bike and have it restricted to 33bhp for 2 yrs or ride your 125 cc machine for 2 yrs and then you will automatically get an upgrade on your licence to ride any motorcycle.
Here at Greenlight rider training we don't teach you how to pass a test, we teach you the techniques and skills required to ride a motorcycle safely and under control and in a variety of traffic situations.

You will learn how to deal with things such as cornering, approaches to roundabouts, pedestrian crossings, meeting situations, forward planning, hazard awareness, and correct observations.
You will pass your test because you have learned the neccessary skills to be able to ride the motorcycle safely. We teach you the secrets of how to spot the clues when you are riding.
You will be doing things like watching for brake lights coming on even before the car in front has even thought about braking.
Whenever you ride, the clues to your safety are out there. We teach you to recognise them and apply them so that you never get into a situation you can't get out of.
Now that's safe riding!

Not only will you be safer you will probably be smoother and quicker as a result of the skills you have developed.
When you pass your motorcycle test you will feel confident that you can go out there and ride your own bike knowing you have been trained to a very high standard.
