I did my CBT at A N Other school but deciced to ring round for prices and guidance in preperation for my Direct access course.
I spoke to Phil who really gave me all the information I needed. He suggested I come down to have a look at them and have a chat about what I needed to do.
I was under no pressure to say I would be train with them at any time and they didn't ask for any money up front or a deposit.
He assessed my riding ability there and then and gave me a very reasonable quote for the training.
I'm glad I went to Greenlight Rider Training as I really felt I had been trained to ride a motorcycle properly.
Needless to say I passed first time.
I'm now looking for a bike to ride before easter hopefully.
I know I'll be going back to Greenlight rider training if only to say hello or go out for a ride with them. These guys really are good at what they do.
Ok so you've done your CBT
So what options are there available to you to be able to ride a larger motorcycle ?
The motorcycle test is now divided into 3 tests.
The theory test, the module 1 test and the module 2 test

Firstly you will need to pass a MOTORCYCLE theory test. This is conducted at various test centres throughout the UK (guildhall st Preston being our nearest centre).
The theory test itself consists of two parts, firstly the multiple choice part where you need to answer 44 out of 50 questions correctly.
This will then be followed by the Hazard Perception Test
(HPT for short ).
This is where you watch a series of video clips and have to identify developing hazards by clicking the mouse. A pass mark of 44 or higher is required.
At the end of the two tests you will be given a printout of your results If succesful, you will be given a Theory test pass certificate for the motorcycle catagory 'A'
To book a theory test you can either do it online by going to www.dsa.gov.uk and click on the correct link. You can also telephone by dialling 0870 0101372.

Tip:.When you hear the recorded message press **1 this will put you through to a live operator who will take down you name, driver number and payment details such as credit/debit card.
You will need your licence and method of payment to hand. If you are using a Debit /Credit card owned by someone else then the cardholder MUST be present or they won't process the test appointment.
The fee is now £31.50
Please be aware that there are some websites online that are nothing to do with the Driving standards agency, BUT will charge you large amounts just to enter your details onto the DSA’s website to book a theory test.
